To whomever reads this,

I’ve started to write on this site because I feel I have things to say that need to be said. Not that they are important life shattering words that will change people’s lives (although you never know I suppose), but they are words that are at least meaningful to me. So maybe I’m just writing to myself? I kind of hope not cause I like it when people read what I write; however, I’ll understand if people don’t read what I write because who am I anyway, right?

Well, I work for the television network The CW. The C…what? You know, The CW…the network that created Gossip Girl, Smallville, One Tree Hill, Vampire Diaries, and my favorite…Supernatural. Before you get all excited, no I don’t know Jensen Ackles or Blake Lively. I only work in the San Francisco branch, and I only freelance for them (not full time). I’ve shot some stuff that has aired on TV, and even directed a short 10 second promo that promoted a podcast I co-host. Yes, I also do a podcast.

The Supernatural Podcast is about Bianca and I doing our best to entertain our listeners as we wax philosophical about everything Supernatural. If you haven’t seen the show, oh man, I recommend you give it a whirl (if you’re into horror shows…and shows that are awesome). For those who don’t know anything about the show, it entails two brothers going across the country killing monsters of all kinds (ghosts, vampires, demons, etc). Furthermore, it’s also about how the brothers cope with the monster hunting lifestyle. As we speak I am exporting our latest podcast, and if you’d like to listen to any of our previous podcasts, well here you go: http://pod08.prospero.com/supernat

We’re also on itunes under: KBCW Supernatural (maybe rate us and give us 5 stars?)

It’s kind of cool working for a major television station. When I first started (as an intern) I was really nervous (I barfed in the elevator, but luckily nobody knew it was me…at least…I don’t think so). I still get nervous, and I still barf…sometimes on people. A lot of folks have this fascination with glamorizing the television industry, but it’s just like any other job (golden bathrooms, talking toilets, robot assistants, and parties every 15 minutes). OK, so none of those things are true, The fact is, it’s a building with desks…just like other places. Unless of course you work outside, then I guess no desks (just a lot of birds ready to poop on you). The point is that it’s still a job, and really there is nothing fancy about it. Of course, it’s tailored towards what I’m studying in school; thus, the appeal. I think that’s what should make a job totally spectacular.

A job has to be something you want to go to, and do. I love going to work, picking up a camera, and shooting footage of whatever is expected. A lot of people out there don’t like that (I know, weird, right?). I on the other hand don’t like to operate on people, which is why I am not a doctor. Some people like to operate on people, and get all bloody and stuff (that’s cool, I guess). Not for me though. I don’t make a lot of money in my profession, and maybe that’s because I’m still new (and also cause I probably suck at it). I’m trying to build my reputation in this skill, and the only way to do that is to do a lot of free work as well.

What kind of free work (not like prostitution..oh god no…I better get paid if I do that).

I think I’ve written too much already, so maybe I’ll write more at another time. I hope this has been a bit entertaining. Cliffhanger ending.
